BIKE MECHANIC
Reports to: Store Manager, Owner
Full-time Non-Exempt

Summary:
The Bike Service Tech is responsible for providing mechanical repairs and maintenance to bicycles and other merchandise. Build new bikes, box bikes for shipping, daily maintenance and shop cleaning.

Store Performance:
• Complete repairs and maintenance of bicycles and install accessories.
• Ensure understanding of customers needs and clearly explain any concerns.
• Ability to step onto the sales floor occasionally greatly preferred.
• Process parts sales and check in/out bikes.

Store Operations:
• Responsible for following all store policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist in keeping the store presentable.

Position Requirement
• Prior bicycle mechanic and assembly experience required.

Skills
• Self-starter along with ability to work with little supervision.
• Hydraulic bleeds and associated maintenance.
• Mechanically inclined and solid problem solving skills.
• Bosch and Shimano E Bike experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Working Conditions
• Ability to stand, sit and use hands for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 75# while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
